The XR Plant is a user-responsive installation that combines digital realities with living plants. Within this installation tree branches and leaves are used as digital sensors, allowing the plant itself to become the biological interface and medium of digital interactions. When touching the plant, the plants’ leaves are illuminated through projection mapping, creating a dynamic real-time visual and audio response to users’ actions. The fusion between the digital and biological entities allows for new forms of interaction and functionality, one which elevates the connection between human and nature.
